How to conserve the natural environment in conjunction with a future of sustainable agro-industry?
The Miño-Sil Hydrographic Confederation is working, through the European Regenera Limia project, on the sustainable development of the agricultural sector, promoting the use of good practices in the management of its waste and adequate water purification. Regenera Limia aims to reduce the nutrients of mainly livestock origin in the water masses of the Limia River, in order to comply with the environmental objectives established by the Water Framework Directive and the regulations for transposition into Spanish legislation.
The president of the Miño-Sil Hydrographic Conference, the president of the Provincial Council of Ourense, the director general of Conservation of Nature, accompanied by the mayor of Xinzo de Limia, as host of the event, will inaugurate the day of presentation of the project Regenera Limia on February 5 at the House of Culture in the Concello de Xinzo de Limia at 10.00. The event is open and is intended for all farmers and ranchers in the region as well as any other interested person (capacity up to 100 people).
