Old abandoned sand ponds will be restored and recovered as wetland areas and their hydrologic-hydraulic connection with the Laguna de Antela channel will be performed. This new lagoon will be permanent, also contributing to the compliance with the environmental restoration obligation established by regulations. Given the presence of more abandoned sand ponds, we expect to extend this experience throughout the region.
