At the beginning of the month, the Life Regenera Limia Project team visited one of the reference projects in the Artificial Wetlands Life Albufera Project. It was a very fruitful visit in which, together with some of the project partners (Confederación Hidrográfica del Júcar, Asociación Ecologista Agro, Seo Birdlife, AcuadMed, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia), two of the project’s target wetlands were visited: Tantat de la Pipa and Tantat de Milia, and the interpretation centre located in the first wetland was visited.

It is certainly a clear example of good management of artificial wetlands. The results of the monitoring of the evolution of biological indicators and nutrient reduction guarantee this. This is why the Life Albufera Project has been recognised by the European Commission as one of the best LIFE projects completed in 2016-2017.
